This place and these people hold such a deep part of my being. Living in the Philippines for eight years has shaped me and I wouldn't be the same without this place.
So I have all these visions of how I'm going to decorate my future house, and this is one of them. I took these pictures yesterday and I decided that I'm going to make some sort of a photo collage out of them someday.
These are some older photos that I took in my first year of college while living in the twin cities. I just had to post them because this city is so near and dear to me. Plus, I am so looking forward to moving back at the beginning of the summer!
I couldn't be staying right outside Chicago for three weeks and not do a photo excursion in the beautiful city. Here's a few photos from what was a ridiculously chilly adventure in the windy city.
My family is everything to me, so it meant the world to me that I got to spend three weeks at Christmas in Chicago with my family. I feel so blessed to have a family like this.
This is my cousin, Kayla, and I. We have been the best of friends for as long I can remember. She is one of the truest and dearest friends that I have. She has seen me through all the stages of my life and been there with me through each of them. I love you dearly, Kayla.
My grandfather passed away this fall. The results of growing up away from family always becomes especially apparent when a loved one dies. Most of my memories of my grandpa are from my childhood. It was hard to close the door on the possibility of new memories with him. I hate saying goodbye to hope.
My family all came together in San Jose, California to celebrate my grandpa's life together. This is the place where it all started for me.
